Look to the disparity in income, education, life expectancy, and health care levels between whites and other races in the U.S.  You will find that whites consistently make more for doing the same jobs, get better quality schools, live longer, and get better medical care.  Then you need to try to explore why this happens--at the root, there are two possible answers: 1) Minorities are genetically inferior to whites, a possibility which is both obviously and scientifically false, or 2) there is systemic racism that prevents minorities from receiving an equitable share of benefits in this country.  There will be thousands of micro-topics for you to look at.  One recent example would be the way Mortgage companies illegally targetted the worst housing loans at minorities, sometimes even lying on loan applications to get people loans they couldn't possibly afford, or lying to them about how easy it would be to refinance later.

good ideas are subjective. there are several to choose from. 1)jim crow laws of the south. 2)the number of african americans in jail and prison.  3)5 grams of crack cocaine = 5 years mandatory sentence vs 500 grams of cocaine = 5 years mandatory sentence. 4) the income disparity in america among all the races. 5) housing discrimination among the races ie loan approval, interest rates, U.S. property appraisal system which has been documented to inflate value of caucasian homes 6) unequal quality of education between neighborhoods. 6) life expectancy as it relates to health care 7) stereotypes perpetrated by the media about ethnic groups (there are many) 8)standardized testing 9) look up redlining!!
