The Hungarian national team player has returned to his previous employers where he played for three seasons before making a move to Russia. The left midfielder passed a medical at the weekend.
The official procedure of the deal was finished on Monday evening. He has signed for an undisclosed fee. Now, Szabolcs will jet out to Graz to join his team-mates at Hannover’s training camp in Bad Waltersdorf.
The former Hannover player played 58 matches for the Zenitchiki side and amassed 7 goals in his time in Russia. He played for Hannover between 2006 and 2009 and is delighted to make the switch back to his old team.
The playmaker had a memorable time in the city of Hanover and that is the deciding factor that led him back with Die Roten club.
"It is great to be back. I had a great time in Hannover and that is why I really wanted to come back here,” said the 29-year-old.
