Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 has gone on to claim that the Gunners would finish in the top three and believes his side stand a chance of overtaking Manchester City, should they get their cards right.
The North London club went on to ensure their stay in the top three this past weekend, as they went on to beat Manchester City by one goal to nil.
The team took on the Blues side of Manchester, in a game that was bound to be a close encounter between the two teams.
Following a breathtaking performance from the Gunners, they went on to beat City, as they theoretically helped Manchester United edge a whole lot closer to winning the Premier League title.
Szczesny, who has been in exceptional form himself, believes that the team is only going to go further up from here and also feels that the team is now more than likely to finish in the top three, with a slight chance of overtaking City.
The young keeper is quoted to have said: "I believe we will finish third. Man City have lost their chance of the title - it was a big blow to us last year and they might drop a little bit, so who knows maybe we can catch them as well.”
"Our aim is to win every game and if we do that we will be in the Champions League next year."
He then went on to insist that the Gunners had shown just what they are made up of, while insisted that the team is more than likely to learn from their performances this season and build on them in the future.
"We have shown that when we are put under pressure we can deal with it," Szczesny stated.
"We had very difficult times at the start of the season and managed to get through it and the team spirit is obvious for all to see.”
With nothing left to play for, it is now up to the Gunners to go on and put up some brilliant performances, which would show everyone just what they can do.
At the same time, ending on a high note will help the team come in next season and continue from where they left off.
