Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 has admitted that he is quite happy with the experience that he gained, following his participation in the Euro 2012.
The shot stopper was the first choice keeper for the Polish squad, but in the first game of the tournament, he was sent off, after being shown a red card.
This red card saw him play only sixty nine minutes of the completion, considering the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 crashed out in the group stages.
Despite that fact, Szczesny is delighted with the part that he played in his countries campaign and feels that an international outing was just what he needed, to further enhance his skills.
When talking about the Euro 2012 and his participation in the competition, the Gunners shot stopper is reported to have said: "It was obviously quite tough getting sent off in the first game and then being left out for the third match, but the experience
of being there was different, something I have never had before.”
"Every time I play for the national team and hear the national anthem it is probably the best feeling a player can experience. But then the buzz [at Euro 2012] was unbelievable and if anything we wanted it too much."We were up for [the opening game], we had
been preparing for four years and for me it all finished quite quickly. But to experience it will make not only myself, but the whole team, stronger."
He also chose to learn from his red card, instead of getting infuriated by it. Szczesny admitted that everyone makes mistakes and you can only learn from the mistakes that you have suffered in the past.
The Polish keeper also feels that he is now mentally stronger than he was last season and should he focus on getting his head in the game, his performances could improve even further over the coming season.
Nonetheless, this coming season is going to be a real test of the keepers ability, since he has been officially promoted to the first choice keeper of the team and been given the number 1 jersey at the Emirates.
