http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 has urged the club’s fans to get behind the team and support the club in their time of need.
This past weekend, when Arsenal took on Swansea at the Emirates, a number of the team’s fans went on to leave the game early, as they felt that the team just wasn’t playing to the best of their abilities.
That game ended with Swansea beating Arsenal by two goals to nil, which resulted in the North London club dropping down to a very low tenth spot in the league table.
Szczesny admits that the fans might be finding it hard to come to terms with the way things are going, but they need to realize that the players have also been impacted by the way things have been going, and that they are doing their best to get things moving
smoothly once again.
"Even after a game like that when everyone is disappointed, the fans are disappointed, the players are disappointed, it is very easy to give up and just say that we are not good enough," said the Gunners shot stopper
"It is very hard right now. This defeat is even more disappointing because we played at home against a Swansea side in a game you should be winning comfortably when you play for this club.”
"We got battered and there's no hiding from it - they were the better team from start to finish and it makes it even harder for us.”
The Gunners fans and the team’s players and manager are all on the same page for the time being, with all of them agreeing that something drastic needs to be done before things can calm down once again.
Wenger has stated that with over twenty games to go in the season, not all hope is lost for the team just yet.
On the other hand, should the team fail to improve at all, then things could only end up getting far worse from here on out.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just how the team performs in the coming weeks, and if they can manage to try and contest for any trophies this season.
