  1. Go to your nearest college and ask how you start.  How to apply for scholarships and grants etc.  This does not mean you have to go to THAT college.  They'll just help you out A LOT.

It's NEVER too late to go to school.  You're only 25!!  You have LOTS of time!

  2. I really dont know how you can apply, but if this helps my dads 32 and he's back in school.  So it's deffenately not too late.  He's going to a community college because his work is paying for it.  Hes going to keep going until his work stops playing for him.     :)

  3. You can go online to almost any college now and apply. You can also apply for financial aid to attend online go to: www.fafsa.gov

  4. FAFSA filing.

    Financial independent status.

Scholarships.  (laundry lists are out there)

    Work-study programs.

    Grants. Federal and State.

    Loans.  (CAREFUL)

Some private schools even offer their own city grants/loans as well as university funded grants and loans.  RESEARCH.  THERE IS A WAY.

  5. First thing you should do is try to apply for the FAFSA or some other national federal aid program.  See if someone you trust will cosign on a loan for you.  Also, go talk to the financial aid office at the colleges of your choice -- they will be able to help!

  6. go to the colleges website and apply, then if you are hard up for cash, look into gants (PELL GRANT) to help you pay for tuition.

  7. Search for a college that you're interested in and apply for a fafsa(gov. student loan).

  8. do the local community college. just go on the website, they usually have a step-by-step process. you can start as early as this summer! registration will be open until the day of the first class. there is a huge support system within each community college, they have so many career opportunities and they'll explain it all to you. don't feel bad about it! i've grandmothers in my college classes! your mom might even help you out once you get the ball rolling and she sees how dedicated you are. good luck!

  9. Go online to the university's website and see about applying. Also apply for student loans and get a part time job. Loans will pay for classes, but you need money for necessities.

  10. YES you should!!! college has many thing to ofer you that you dont get any other way!!!!!

  11. My mother just recently went to college for the first time and she's 56. When she applied at the college there were scholarships they offered. You can also look up scholarships on www.fastweb.com. Talk with the school you're looking into first b/c they may have some other suggestions for you. Good luck!

  12. Go to the college's website you want to apply to, and download their application.  Then, follow the instructions on the application and send it in.

If you need financing, there are many banks that will provide student loans that you can defer until AFTER you graduate so long as you maintain a full course load.

  13. You can always go online and look at there website and see what courses they have or ring them up and they would send you a booklet of courses they do. You can apply over the phone or apply by post as theres always a application at the back. Depending on what course you do u might have to have an interview if not u just pay and get sent the information of when the course starts etc..Personally I would ring them as they can answer any questions you have there number would be on their website or you can easily search the number on google.  And don't worrie about ur age people of all ages go to college even in there 40's it's never to late

    Good Luck x

  14. School? lol A bit late xD, 9 years to be exact xD

  15. I don't think that's late at all. Being 24 myself my brother (27) is just now going to college for the first time as well. Ignore societies "social" rules.

You would go about it by applying to local community or regular colleges in your area. You could apply for financial aid and you will most likely get it. If you don't, well no big deal.. it will just take you longer. You could probably afford a class or 2 a semester.  Good for you for wanting to succeed in life regardless of who supports you. Many would have given  up by now. Good luck.

  16. Try your state Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative(DARS) office.

  17. What college do you want to go to? Go to the college and get an application. Really, your mother is not responsible for you anymore because you are grown. Get financial aid.

  18. You're 25...why should mom keep supporting you?

You would call or drive to the college, and ask what their requirements are for admission.

You'll be surprised how many people start college late. 25 isn't really that old at all. Especially if you go to a community college for the first couple years.

  19. Start at a Community College then transfer to University in a couple years or so.  Community Colleges do not require SAT scores or anything and it's easy to get in.

You can do your first 2 years and even get an Associates Degree if you want (or a Vocational Certificate) from a Community College.  Then you can transfer or not, your choice.

I recommend looking at all the ones in your area, some have programs that others don't.

  20. Just go fill out an application, but more importantly fill out a FAFSA for financial aid, to see if there is any available.  You're probably working full time, so you probably want to do a couple of night classes, or do them all online.  They have advisors that can point you in the right direction.  I need to do this myself for that matter lol

  21. don't be scared it's easy i'm 23 and going back and to tell you the truth it's easier now lol
