In the movie , super storms travel in different directions. Which way should they have traveled (clock/counter-clockwise) . Which scientific principle is being shown?

If by that you mean rotate, then they should have gone counter-clockwise. This is a simple question, the reason for the rotation is the earth's coriolis effect which is caused by its rotation. This causes, among other things, large scale low and high pressure systems to rotate in one direction or another. Since (I believe) the storms are in the northern hemisphere (note: They're also climatologically impossible), they'd rotate counter-clockwise by this effect.
