How excited is St. louis about getting T.J. Oshie?

I had the pleasure of seeing him play in every home game last year. Wow, I loved to see him play, even more so than Toews - when he was here.

What do think, will Oshie get the Blues started in the right direction?

  1. Oshie? Sounds Japanese.

Speaking of Japanese, whatever happened to that L.A. Kings goalie Fukufuji?

  2. I'm not getting my hopes up

Bernie said during a game last year that kids are called prospects because you don't know what they are going to do until they get to the NHL. And the blues have had 3 horrible seasons (ok, we'll call it two because the first year they were selling the team) and they said it's ok because we have prospects. what the next 5 years look like --- we are banking 100% on prospects.

I'm sure we'll get into the playoffs soon - hopefully next year.

Could the kids be great? Yeah

Could they be a flop and the Blues end up in a lost decade? Yeah

  3. Sioux ya ya!!!!

I will miss oshie, that guy was amazing, too bad he didin't have a better defense (I hate you Finley).  I don't think he will completly turn them around his 1st year, but I will enjoy next season.  He's high energy and makes everyone better.  It's going to be great to see him play when he doesn't have the weight of the team on his shoulders.

  4. this kid is great. really. i love to see him play cause he's really committed to the game and he has tonnes of upside. i think he'll be a part of a new direction for the blues...but that organization needs something more than tj to get out of their hole.

he skates well, he can hit and take a hit, he has good hockey vision on the ice. man. seriously, he can come to the leafs anyday we'll have him.

  5. I think all the studs from that draft have already made it to the NHL...Sidney Crosby, Anze Kopitar (LA), Carey Price (MTL), Devin Setoguchi (SJ), and Marc Staal (NYR)

I'm not saying he has no chance to be a good player but thats just my opinion.

  6. I think the Blues are going in the right direction. I love Erik Johnson and they continnue to do some nice signings- especially on the Euro front. Lars Eller is going  to be a stud too.

Now, if they can just sever ties with Kariya.

DAMIEN- Fukufuji was not presented with a qualifying offer by the Kings before the 2007-2008 season, but returned to the Bakersfield Condors on September 10, 2007 after signing a contract for the 2007-08 season
