T-mobile shadow, can i use prepaid plan?

i want to get a shadow but i dont want to pay 30 bucks a month plus 10 dollars extra cuz i like to text, is there a cheaper way to get less minutes and unlimited text? also can i use prepaid with the shadow?

im not sure about the shadow exactly, but i have a prepaid sidekick and i pay 1 dollar a day for unlimited texts, internet, instant messaging, and email. maybe you can use the sidekick to go plan on the shadow.
