  1. i agree with MEL

  2. NO

  3. ok

  4. i dont know but i wish it would happen...

    cos I LUV T20

  5. It is not only Gilchrist, Steve Waugh, Ganguly, Fleming etc are backing Gilchrist's idea of T20 in Olympics 2020. It is viable idea, if ICC takes up the cause with IOC, by 2020, 20-20 will be a part of Olympics. 20-20 can make cricket totally global.

  6. my heartly :) wish...

  7. The Olympics are global. Only about 16 countries play cricket. How many countries are there? 156 (I think)

T20 should not be at the Olympics until Cricket becomes a truly global sport.

  8. sure it will happen

    adleast i hope so

  9. No.

Unless you want T20 cricket to be the higlight of what cricket is, it would be a wrong move to bring T20 to the Olympics.

There's so much more to cricket than slogging the ball in my view.

  10. I do think there should be at least some form of cricket in the Olympics, pretty much every other sport (baring snooker, fishing and a few others) are represented there, including baseball. It would be good for the sport especially if it gets more nations playing and competing on a competitive level.

But I'm not sure 20/20 should be the sole representative of cricket on such a big, world stage. It would give the impression that it's the only form of the game and could have the potential to destroy it, especially if the larger countries (such as America et al) get hold of the format and realize how much money they can make out of it and start their own brands.

  11. may be it's possible, what Gilly can only watch it not able to play.

  12. yes the olympics are viewed all around the world and will be a very good way to spread the game around the world which is what the international cricket council (ICC) wants.

  13. I do think that the ICC will be able to get T20 added to the olympic roster for 2020.  The thing I fear is that People wont want to play Test cricket any more.  With the Big Money in T20 and the chance to have an Olympic Medal I dont think players would apply themselves to test cricket.

But on the plus side Exposure through the Olympics going out to the whole world i should help to bring more people to enjoy cricket.

  14. I think this is a good idea. Some might say that they are scared that America and China will only see the "uncouth" version of the game, but the fact is, very few people have the attention span/ time in this world to watch five days of six hours of cricket. T20 may or may not see a recession in terms of popularity in it's traditional homelands, but it's the perfect vehicle to globalize the sport, which I think is very important cricket do. Besides, surely cricket is more athletic than rythmic gymnastics, and more popular than European Handball?

  15. Though Hockey is in the Olympics many decades how many new countries have started playing Hockey.Even if they do it will take long to qualify to p;ay in Olympics.

Cricket does not need Olympics to popularise it.On the other hand individual sports may suffer reduced viewership which is not healthy.Even if cricket is included in Olympics it should be held in a separate time slot when no other event is held concurrently.

  16. i think so and i will happy

  17. yes!!!

  18. I support this..Very eager to watch cricket in olympics..

  19. yes yes, why not !

  20. I too feel that T20 should be included in the Olympics.

  21. if u think T 20 is a cricket than ok it is only GILLY DANDA
