Question:

TALENT SHOW SONG HELP! (10 pts)?

I am entering a talent show, and I would like to do the song Just A Dream by Carrie Underwood. I'm only 13, and my mom said it would be weird at my age and it's such a sad song and I really should do an upbeat song. Here's the video of a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8khHqMntkbQ

I just think it's an amazing song that people should hear. What do you think? I'd like a second opinion. It's 10 points! If not, what song should I sing? Thanks =)

  10. I luv that song. She's talking about and 18 year old thats only 5 years older than you. It really doesn't matter that much what you sing if you have a good voice. I've heard a young kid sing a sad song at talent show and it seemed fine. I guess if your mature engough to like sad songs other people in ur grade will and they will like it.

  11. You've Gotta Die for the Government by Anti-Flag. Punk=good

  12. i agree. Its a really nice song, and at 13 most kids do listen to that anyways, so it doesn't really matter about age.

  13. yes i think its an amazing song but ur mom maybe right becuz shes singing about like an 18 year old but then again its a song and u dont have to be like the person the songs about so i would say go for

  14. I agree with your mom if you're only thirteen and its a talent show, you are going to bore people with a slow song, do a classic oldie song that's upbeat and everyone gets excited when they hear it and the audience know all the words too

  15. i think you should go for it! i think its a great song and that youll do fine.

  16. sing her song "so small" i love that song

    or taylor swifts "our song"

=) good luck in the show!

  17. more than words...Frankie j

  18. Last year at my kid's talent show there were a TON of Carrie's songs!!!  GO FOR IT!!!

  19. its a nice song, but you have to have a really strong voice to do it, if you do, go ahead! if not, you should sing another song that means a lot to you. maybe one about friends? or a showtune like alone in teh universe from seussical, or for good from wicked!

good luck and i hope you do great at your show!

  20. i say GO FOR IT!

    I think its AWESOME

    and it dosnt matter

    what your age is

    your voice that matters

    :) goodluck

  21. i think its a pretty cool song.

  22. OOOHHH... good song but it is depressing me.  It depends on how well you can sing for which song you should sing. Maybe when the show is over you can post it on youtube. Maybe you should sing Last Name or Next Time He Cheats... or Jesus Take the Wheel. Good Luck!

  23. Sing a Jonas Brothers song.

I bet all the 12 year old girls would go crazy.

    >_>
