TAMPON EMERGENCY!!!!!!?

Okay okay okay.. so i'm on my period, right?

Well around 12 midnight last night i went to the bathroom and i KNOW i put a new tampon in before i went to sleep...

so i woke up around 4 and my mouth was cotton dry so i went to go get something to drink.. and i had to use the restroom.. BUT i don't remember if i put a tampon in or not but i'm like 75% sure i did.. so i woke up around 8 to start getting ready and there was a bloody accident and i was like wtf?

Cause i was like oh i must've forgotten to put in a tampon and then i was like OH s**z i thought i did and i started freakin out.. i mean..

if i did put one in there it wouldn't have completely gotten lost up there in just 4 hours right?? and i'm not a crazy sleeper either..

and if it did get up there do you think i'd be able to feel it?? cause i told my mom and she thinks i just forgot to put one in there but i kinda want to make an appointment just to be sure, i'm like freaking out right now..

do you think i'd be able to feel it up there?

and when i got outta the shower and i put one in there it wasn't hard to put in so it wasn't like there wasn't any obstacles (ex//a stuck tampon)

So what do you think?

  1. actually you can. its called a "lost tampon" now be careful..if it is still there..it can and will cause vaginosis.

so id go to the doc. just to make sure

  2. that's why you tie a rope to one end of the tampon and the other to your leg, so you can yank it out, when you need to

  3. you forgot to put one in for sure

  4. First of all you cant really loose a tampon when its in you. There is no where for it to go. You just forgot to put it in. if you are worried put a finger in and feel around

  5. I'm positive that a tampon can't get lost up there.

And if there were no obstacles when you put in a new one then you just forgot to put on in before you went to bed.

It's okay I did the SAME thing about a week ago ;]

  6. I agree - you forgot to put a new one in, it's easy to forget things that are routine like that at 4am :)

It's happened to me before too. Trust me, you'd be able to feel it if you tried to put a new tampon in without taking an old one out.

  7. hmmm maybe have a look around...

see if you can feel anything up there,

it can be very well not nice, but you need to see if you have a stuck tampon, very important because you dont want to leave it in there.

  8. lol You probably forgot, but if not after 4-6 hours you'll go into shock due to the toxic-ness of the tampon :P So one way or another you'll find it!

It sounds mean but I mean it humourously! You probably just forgot to put another in :)

  9. it wouldnt be up there cause its sopposed to be in a specific spot and it wouldnt go all the way in ur body but u really shouldnt wear tampons before u sleep u should wear a overnight pad

  10. It's impossible to lose a whole tampon up there to the point where you can't feel it if you checked. (But no worries, I remember freaking out over something like that too when I was younger, so it happens) I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I'm sure you just forgot to put one in.

  11. okay lets think this through....  if you did put a tampon in before bed, you probably would not have been bleeding b/c the tampon would have soaked it up.  if there were one in there, there was nothing to push it up inside further such as unplanned intercourse.  And there would generally be a string still hanging out for you to grab.

Now when you put in a new one and you didn't feel any obstructions, then it is likely that there was nothing up there... lends itself to the first observation.  so your mom is most likely correct...

But what is most important though, is that you have peace of mind and aren't freakin out about it.  So with that said, go get checked out...  it will serve to make you feel better.

Hope this helps...  Dr T-   Peace
