Hey everyone! So I'm trying out for TCA Volleyball [13 age group] pretty soon. Any tips? I've been playing since third grade. A few of my friends made it last year & so did my friend's sister. Now the sibling of that sister made it. I really want to make it because I love volleyball! Please give me some helpful suggestions for my tryouts! I already know how to bump, set, spike, and serve over-hand. I just can't jump-serve yet. Please help = ]

  1. jump serving is a lot like back row attacks. you want the toss to be about the same height as if you're attacking. sometimes it's easier to take a 4-step approach but it will have to be quicker footwork. when i'm jump serving i just throw the ball up fairly high and pretend as if i'm back row attacking. the end line is your 10 foot line so you can't cross it, and the approach is nearly identical.

    hope this helps?

its hard to explain without showing you.

    good luck!
