TEEN having eye surgery? :|?

Okay so I went get my physical for Volleyball and of course they had to check everything and my doctor said that I needed to get surgery on my right eye because my right is look at a different direction, wouldnt that be like cross eye? Cause she said when I'm looking at someone my right eye is focused on a different direction! I'm so fcking scared :*( And I'm only fourteen and can you guys help and tell me what I have and how the procedures go? Like if I can feel it, how does my eye stay open the whole time, etc. HELP PLEASE :[

This sounds like strabismus.  I had two surgeries for it when I was four and five  I was also patched, prescribed prism eyeglasses, and went to vision therapy to help correct it.  I found that vision therapy worked the best for me.  My eyes are not still not normal, but are much than when I started treatment.  You may want to ask your doctor if that would be a better option over surgery.
