TEMPORARY dORM RooM?

I will be in a dorm room for only 6 days for a competition. I need some ideas of how i can decorate it. please have them be easy, do-it-yourself things, because its not like im spending a semester there. Also, i was going for a beachy look. i just want my room to look nice because last year it was a mess and UGLY!!! (compared to the colorful and tidy other rooms) thank you soooo much!!!!

Get some cheapo beach towels from a dollar store and sew them into cushions or a throw or even upholster dining chairs in them.  Keep things to a scheme of a few bright colors and white - take ordinary decorations and spray them white - like shells, weathered wood items etc.

If you have a collection of interesting vases, throw some long bear grass in them for a seaside casual look.  Post pics when you're done!
