TGA Texas Round Up Sprint Championship-
Cry Homer of LQK Kennels and KB’s Lights Out outlive expectations
The $50,000 TGA Texas Round Up Sprint Championship kicked off on Friday 24th June 2011 and Wednesday 29th June saw great action on the race track as round two of the event
began at 12:00 pm.
JIT Qn Victoria of Bone Man Racing Kennel, who had finished in third place in round one, won an early race in round two.

She resisted the challenge from Mr. Dakota of D.Q. Williams Kennel and clinched a massive six length victory while Cry Kaidence of LQK Kennels Inc got hold of a place spot and Mr. Dakota could
only lay his hands on the show spot.
In the second race, Par Guy, who had finished in fifth place in round one regained form as he flew into the race from Trap 1 and outran MW’s Sting Towin of D.Q. Williams and Atascocita Vigor
of Libby Racing Kennels. He won the competitive race by two lengths.
In the same race, DLT Armageddon of Lingle Kennel faced bad luck and was eliminated from the race after the first run.

This was indeed sad news given that he had won in round one and had he competed for this round the results might have been different.
The 550-yard track record holder, Cry Homer of LQK Kennels Inc, walked into the event as the favourite because he had the most wins in 2011.

While the two favourites for the first two heats failed to surpass or even live up to their expectations, this one did indeed please his fans.
Cry Homer ran a brilliant race, defeating DLT Fire Water in a mere 30.06 seconds, the fastest winning time of the day.

Even in round one, Cry Homer’s performance was commendable as he faced major competition in the form of speedster KB’s Cigar Slam of K-RodKennel.

He won the round one race in 30.09 seconds by a length.

Cigar Slam finished in second place and JIT Qn Victoria of Bone Man Racing Kennel in third place.
The other favourite that shone in round two was KB’s Lights Out who got hold of a lead immediately, while being chased by Big Water Kennel’s BWG Steeler.
She finished in 30.11 seconds, six lengths ahead of runner-up, BWG Steeler.

Bay Oaks Swagger of Libby Racing Kennels finished in third place followed by Stogie of D.Q. Williams Kennel in fourth place.
With the initial two rounds are over, only 24 greyhounds are left in the running and only one will win the $50,000 prize money.

Round three that starts at 1:30 pm on Sunday, 3rd of July, will take us one step closer to finding out who will grab the prize money.
