TGI Friday Meals? Help needed?

I am going to TGI Fridays on friday and I would like to know what would be a healthier option and how many calories are in these meals as I worry when it comes to eating out.

I might just have my starter as my main meal and the starters I like are:

Jack Daniel's® Sesame Chicken Strips -

Crispy, breaded chicken breast strips tossed in Jack Daniel's® sweet 'n' smoky glaze, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds & chilli flakes. Served on shredded red cabbage and crispy lettuce with even more Jack Daniel's® glaze on the side.

Or I might ask if I can have one of these appetizer as my main meal:

Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Spinach and artichoke hearts coated in a rich and creamy cheese sauce. Served with crisp corn tortillas.

Jack Daniel's® Wings

Tender chicken wings, coated in our Jack Daniel's® sweet 'n' smoky glaze. Served with celery and even more Jack Daniel's® glaze on the side.

Or I would choose between these meals - but what one would be best to have?

Spicy Diablo Pasta -

Penne pasta tossed in a spicy chilli and tomato sauce with fresh broccoli, green beans, mushroom & red pepper. Sprinkled with grated cheese

Friday's® Chicken Caesar Salad -

Tender slices of chargrilled chicken breast, served on crisp lettuce tossed in Friday's® Caesar dressing with crunchy croutons and grated cheese.

BBQ Chicken Salad -

Sweet, smoky barbecue-glazed chicken breast on a bed of mixed salad leaves with diced tomato, spring onion and mixed cheese. Served with our tangy BBQ ranch dressing.

  1. The website should list the nutrition info, but I can't find it anywhere. You can always ask your server if she has the nutrition facts available.

    I would say that the spicy diablo pasta is probably the healthiest from your choices, followed by either of the salads with the dressing in the side.


  2. TGI Fridays has a "light" section on their menu.

    Shrimp Key West (low carb)

    Zen Chicken Pot Stickers (low fat)

    Dragonfire Chicken (low fat)

    I'd choose the Dragonfire chicken. It sounds pretty good.

If your going out to enjoy yourself don't worry about calories.  All of the above are full of them.  Just get back on track tomorrow.  If you really want to behave, your best bet would be the Strawberry Fields Salad With Chicken (dressing on the side and used sparingly).  That is if the TGI Friday you are going to has this salad.

  8. I dont know about your question, but I have heard that because it is an american restaurant you have to be 21 to drink alcohol in there (even in the uk!)

  9. You should really enjoy yourself, and order what you want if this is a one off, seriously. If you feel really bad you can exercise for 30 mins the next day.

    Anyway, I'd say the Chicken Salad seems more healthy opinion on that list.
