TH350 speedometer cable leaking?

How can I stop this leak, does it have an o-ring? If if doesn't stop leaking should I buy a new speedometer cable?

there is an o-ring seal, or should be one there!! no cable needed, unless it is chewed up and that is why it is leaking

The cable has nothing to do with the sealing.  The gear shaft itself is plastic, and it has spiral grooves that "pump" oil back in.  The gear shaft housing has an o-ring.  You should replace these o-rings or the gear if it looks like shaft wear is the problem.  Those gears don't cost much.
