  1. Do not take the memory of decent working class folk and use it to back up your own twisted opinions.

I'll tell you this for nowt they'd have been amongst the first to give the bigots a good shoeing.

  2. Many of the young men who fought and died in regiments like the 'Bradford Pals'  would have been mill workers before they enlisted.

Mill owners never cared much for the welfare of their employees. I believe they recruited night shift workers from Pakistan after the second world war.

You can't blame poor people who came here to try and make a better life for themselves.  If Bradford has changed so much it's down to some rich men of 50 or 60 years ago.

  3. i live like 20 mins away and to be totally honest Bradford is a *hit hole now! to many immagrants :(

so to be honest i think they would feel annoyed and angry :(

Edit : am not been funny or nothing but it's really bad here , there are probably like twice as many mosques than there are churches here , the english language is probably spoke at like 50% of the population and the some of the streets are just a mess.So they would definetly feel annoyed.

  4. It seems strange that this once great country has fought against all these countries WHO NOW tell us what we can/can't do in our own country. The only people we have to blame are Margaret Thatcher and especially Ted Heath for joining the EU.I spent 23 years in the army and was never out of work until this year, but yet i am told because I get a army pension i can't get job seekers allowance even Though i have contributed to this country.Yet anybody else can get there homes paid for, money for what they want,If you drink you get 25 pounds a week extra for your drink. This country has gone to the dogs.Tower Hamlets in East London where my fathers  family hail from,English is the 20th spoken language.

  5. Bradford is like a foreign country full of young asians and pregnant asian women probably all living on state benefits, it is a dump by any standards and my taxes are paying for it

  6. care to elaborate? Don't blame the immigrants, blame our governement and their poen door policy. It it because of them that the immigrants are here in the first place. Are you views the same with regard to the influx of white immigrants entering Britain too, over the past few years? I wonder

  7. I think they'd feel very sad and wonder why they did it.

I often think the same about my dad, my great uncles and grandfather .

5 of my great uncles fought on the Somme with the South Wales Borderers (3 didn't come home).  My grandfather fought in the Welsh Guards and came home but died aged 45 because of injuries sustained in the war.  My dad fought in WWII (I'm 36 but he was 52 when I was born in 1971).   He gave his health for this country (suffered severe injuries and post-traumatic stress which they didn't have a name for in those days) and watched his best friends dying around him.

He died in 1998 and in a way I'm glad that he didn't live long enough to see his pregnant daughter who was facing homelessness because she had fallen behind on her mortgage due to ill health being offered nothing but 6 weeks in a dirty B&B and a photocopied list of private landlords (while asylum seekers are given 4 bedroom houses - know this for a fact as have contacts in a local housing association), or his son in law being denied any help to retrain and earn a better living while migrants are offered £4,000 grants to return home.  Or his dearly-loved wife suffering indignity and poor treatment in an overcrowded NHS hospital.  I think he would wonder why he bothered.

And this is not "racism" its fact.  If the Government don't wake up to these facts there are going to be problems in the future.
