  1. I watched one fly back at transpo at Dulles airport in 72?. what a plane! it looked as if it were floating in the air as it made a turn around the runway, quit a site!  Cheers Baronred4

  2. With luck, and a following wind, it may well make an appearance at Duxford. I watched a news article about it recently, and the consortium that's rebuilt it are confident that it will make an appearance this year.

Check out the links below for more info.

  3. the first display is at duxford and i have been told she will fly at cosford, inside information.

  4. touch and go with that lots of work to do yet.

  5. It would be great to see the Vulcan up in the air again,i often see the one at the air Museum and it reminds how great it was when i used to see them fly over.

he first post-restoration flight, which lasted 34 minutes, took place on 18 October 2007.[19][20] Two further three hour test flights are to be carried out from Bruntingthorpe aerodrome to prove that the aircraft has been restored to an airworthy condition. However, partly due to the unexpected work on the aircraft to address corrosion issues earlier in 2007, a further £100,000 is required by the end of January 2008 in order to make the test flights possible. Without these test flights, XH558 will be unable to participate in the 2008 airshow season
