THE best player in the world?

Kobe bryant clearly is. is he not? yes you lebron james fans out there could argue but lets just run through these two players strenghts and weaknesses shall we? KOBE clearly a better jumpshooter, free throw shooter. with all his experience we can say he is better in the clutchplus a wayyyyyyyyy better defensive player. and then we go to lebron. lets see hes a good passer, hes built like a tank for driving.ok. so who do you think? and im not sure about the dribbling aspect.even if we did go ahead and say lebron is a better dribbler well id still have to say kobe has it on lock. its too obvious.

Kobe also has 8 years of experience. Let's see if Lebron had Shaq in his prime, Phil Jackson and another scorer he would've won 3 championships as well. Although, you could say that about anyone...

kobe easily has the best offensive weapons in the league today, he can do anything on the offensive end.  the problem with him is he settles a lot for contested jump shots, if he cuts that down and take easier shots, his fg % could rise to 48 or so.  lebron is the same way, but he drives it in a lot more than kobe, so offensively i would say theyre equal because lebron utilizes what he does best and it works.  why do something youre not very good at if you can do something your very good at consistently.

having said that, i think kobe is a better passer and distributor than lebron.  lebron can see the court better, but kobe runs the floor and the plays better than lebron in my opinion.

lebron plays more pick up game style, while kobe does that too but they have a good system in la, and he does fit into it very nicely.

overall right now i think kobe has the edge, but with the way lebron keeps getting better i dont think that edge will last too long.
