  1. 5/13 X 65 = 25

    8/13 X 65 =40

  2. there are 40 dogs and 25 cows

    you get this answer by:

    since of the ration 5:8, there are a total of 13  5+8

    then you divide 65 by 13

    you get 5

    then you multiply 5 by 5 for the number of cows,

    and multiply 5 by 8 for the number of dogs

  3. 25 cows 40 dogs

  4. Ratio is 5:8

    Therefore,5/13*65=25 cows.

    and            8/13*65=40dogs.

  5. 5 cows, 8 dogs?

  6. 8 multiply 5=40 (Dogs)

    5 multiply 5=25 (Cows)

    40+25=65

  7. 40 cows,25 dogs

  8. There are 25 cows and 40 doghs.

  9. There are 65 animals. Cows:Dogs=5:8

    this is my method,

    5+8=13

    65/13=5

    Cows=5 X 5= 25

    Dogs=8 X 5= 40

    Cows= 25 Dogs=40

    Hope you find this helpful!!! :-)

  10. 8+5=13     13/65=5    8*5=40  5*5=25

    40 cows

    25 dogs
