THERES A METEOR SHOWER NOW!!!!

everyone look outside to norteast!!!! LOOK OUTSIDE NOW!! THERE ARE A TON OF SHOOTING STARS!!!!!!! NOW.

Last Saturday, from my primary observing location - my driveway - which is best described as a flood light lit grocery store parking lot in downtown Detroit (somewhat less than ideal), i saw three meteors - one was a Perseid, in about an hour.

Last night from a considerably better location, and from local 10pm to 2am, i saw 16 Perseid and 9 non Perseid meteors - having missed about 5 that others in the group saw.

We've seen the peak, but expect to see more meteors through the weekend.

I seen about four or five tonight!  I was out in the desert hunting rattlesnakes and I found this!  It is the first one I have ever seen in the wild!

We know, its been going off for a while now.

The earth is passing into the the Perseid asteroid trail.

i saw 44!!  i watched from about 230am till 5am this morning.  i saw them from Lockport, NY which is near Niagara Falls.  they were big and bright this time, wow!!  glad you got to see some too!

I live in a city, so I was only able to see a few dozen in four hours.  I think I saw two satellites too.

Sadly i haven't seen any yet because there is a ton of light pollution around my apartment, i even tried going down to the river near the driving range, i have to go to bed here so i'll miss the meteor shower tonight but hopefully there will be some left tomorrow.
