My hubby and I have been TTC for 16 months. We suffered an ectopic in July of 06. We recently just miscarried in April of 08. AF due on Saturday, just tested with Clear Blue and "pregnant". I am confused on how to feel. We just had our first visit to the fertility Dr earlier in the month. I am so affraid as I know this is still very early. Any words of advice???? I am so very excited inside but very affraid at the same time. Please help. Thank you.

  1. My husband and I have been trying for about 3 and a half years and have had 2 miscarriages.  I am currently 8/9 weeks pregnant with our third.  I understand how you feel as I spent the first three weeks scared to go to the toilet and convinced that I couldn't relax as I was sure to miscarry; in fact the only reason that I went to the doctors was to get the pregnancy confirmed so that when I miscarried it would be on record and we could begin to get assessed for a possible cause and treatment.  All I can say is that your feelings are completely normal...you will eventually settle into your current pregnancy and begin to relax and enjoy it (I have had morning sickness for the first time this pregnancy and have actually been pleased to have new 'symptom').  I hope everything goes well for you but remember...you aren't supposed to feel a certain way as everyone, and every pregnancy, is different.  Good luck x

  2. congrats!! make sure you start taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid right now. start eating healthier[if u havent already] also make an appt to make sure things are going smoothly...dont do anything too strenous on the body..good luck hun and i hope this is it for you!

  3. I know you don't want to get your hopes up...But I am sending you, your hubby and your Little One Many Blessings and MUCH Aloha~~From My Family To Yours...Stay Positive~~Michelle~~

  4. My first pregnancy was an ectopic and 9 months after we suffered another loss, that time a m/c. 3 months after the m/c I was pregnant again and absolutely terrified that I was going to lose that one too. I thankfully carried to term and had my daughter! Since then we have been blessed with a little boy and I am currently pregnant with another little girl. Take it one day at a time and have faith, there is nothing else you can do. Talk to your Doctor about your concern and maybe they will monitor your hCG level or do an early u/s, around 6-7 weeks, to help reassure you. Congratulations and I hope you will be blessed with a healthy pregnancy and baby!

  5. Schedule another appointment with your doctor.  Have him/her check it out.  In the meantime, be careful and eat healthy.
