THIS MAY SOUND LIKE A DUMB QUESTION BUT I HAVE TO KNOw!!!?

IVE BEEN READING ALOT OF TTC QUESTIONS AND SOME OF THEM ASK HOW MUCH ROBITUSSIN OR MUSINEX OR GRAPEFRUIT JUICE THEY SHOULD TAKE WHEN THEY OVULATE!!! WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT?? DOES IS HELP GIVE MORE EWCM??? DOES IT HELP THE SPERM??? SHOULD I BE USING IT AS WELL??? I'M TTC AND USING THE CLEAR BLUE FERTILITY MONITOR!! I HAVE 2 GOOD DAYS OF EWCM AND I OVULATE CD16!!! ANSWERS PLEASE??

Robitussin and Musinex do the same -- or not at all, depends on the person I think.  It's used to help thin your cm so that you will get "more".  You are supposed to take 2-3 tsp 2-3 times a day for the 5 days leading up to ovulation.  I tried it a few months back and all it did was cost me money, nothing else.  I have not heard about grapefruit juice.

This last month I decided to try evening primrose oil to help with my EWCM production, because I have had NONE since April (I miscarried in March).  Your supposed to take 3000mg/day (2 pills 3X/day) from the first day of your period until ovulation.  You are NOT to take it after ovulation as it can cause uterus contractions.  I was only able to take it for a week instead of two (ate something bad, had a bad stomach bug lol) and I had beautiful EWCM show the morning of my positive opk.  so either coincidence or not, something worked, still in my 2ww.

The quality of your cm depends on how long the sperm can survive.  The more clear and stretchy it is, the longer the sperm can survive as that is the perfect environment for them.

It all comes down to personal choice and what you want or are willing to try.  That's as far as I'll go when it comes to pills and such.  I use opk's and chart my BBT as well.

The one thing you MUST be taking now is a prenatal vitamin so that your body has enough folic acid in it when you get pregnant.  It helps prevent neural tube defects like spina bifida.
