How safe are the tails?

would I be able to stand in it IN THE WATER?

are they easy to swim in?

should I practice with flippers before the tail?

OR should I practice with flippers and then the mono fin

OR should I practice with the mono fin and NOT the flippers?

Tell me anything you can about the tails!

THIS QUESTION IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SWAM WITH MERFOLK TAILS (THE ONES THAT FMP USES)

  1. While I dont have a tail from FMP, I have had one made very simular in design. Tails are only as safe as the knowledge you have while swimming in them. Getting used to having to move your legs together while turning and thrusting are a must. I would recommend staying in the shallow end of a pool and practice with a monofin against a ladder until you get familiar with the movements. If you have a buddy to help you out you could start with the tail but not being able to spread your legs can panic you if you arent used to thinking like a mermaid. Also I am pretty sure you can stand in the water if you want, its not like you can fall backwards or forwards very fast :P

    Learning how to swim in a monofin was the hardest part for me swimming in a tail, but after that the hardest thing was keeping the tail up when you start swimming too fast!
