TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, very important question! plz help?

I have just bought this caculator, and i have never usen this before, i was wondering do i HAVE to download the CD that came with it? Because when i was downloading it, my window warned me not to download it because risk of damage to the computer. Also what does the CD do to help? Or is just for imformation on the caculator? Please help, i am VERY confuse!

  1. Windows is stupid, installing the software will not harm your computer. Just allow it, the software's alright.
