Question:

TI-84 Plus Silver Edition vs. TI-Nspire

I am going to be a junior in high school and taking pre-cal. I'm not sure which calculator to buy. I am familiar with the TI-84, but would be completely new the TI-Nspire. I know it is backwards compatible, but I think I am going to be using the TI-84 features more often, so is there any reason to get the Nspire?

  1. TI-Nspire has all the features of the 84 and more, plus its display is much nicer.  You can always plug in the 84 keypad it comes with if you need that for some reason.
