Hello,

I've been reading many things on both these calculators and Ive come to realize that neither of them say that they are capable of Algebra.

Is this True or is it just not important to place ?

Well which of these calculators would be best for

Physics

Trigonometry

Algebra

And to store in notes form the pc

I honestly don't care the RPN or the programming

I think they're very good features butt their not in my interest

(no body get offended I do really like RPN its just that i care more about the mathematical features)

well i hope some one can stear me into the right direction

  1. I have both the hp-50g and the ti-89 and from using them both as a Senior in Physics AP I can say that the TI-89 is your best bet. Because...

    - Huge Software Repo at http://www.ticalc.org/ - Covers all your subjects.

    - CAS is more Math Class friendly with the TI-89, the solve function is better on the 89, the hp50g can not do solve equation with trig functions if thats important.

The hp-50g is still a fine unit. Its a higher build quality then its counterpart.

    - Features HP trademark calculator keys.

    - Leather case included

    - Brighter, higher contrast display

    - Faster ARM processor, graphing 10x faster then the 89

    - SD expansion

But it still lacks a large software base and HP poorly maintains its firmware. Also the learning curve is very large with the HP not nearly as user friendly as the 89
