  1. im a sophomore this year, and when i started highschool i was nervous as you are too. but with the bullies and drugs, you just have to know who hang out with, dont go with the wrong crowd, and DONT do things you will regret, like s*x, drugs, etc. just honestly, STAY TRUE TO YOUR MORALS, and what you believe in. these high school yeas are the most important in your life.

highschool counts 100% every effort you put in, will reflect in your future. make sure to join sports and clubs okkay? big plus for if you want to go to college.

sorry if im just telling you this like a big bomb, and i know your just going to start and your thinking i can just lay back, sure you should enjoy your highschool years, but be very wise about it (((:

dont worry, YOU'LL LOVE IT! (:

  2. I agree with the answer below me

a lot of people can be backstabbers

and if you mess up your freshman year it will affect your whole high school year, with makeup classes.

  3. Well, I go to an allgirls catholic school so it may be a little different haha... my one advice is to get to know a lot of people so if "friends" turn out to be jerks, you have somewhere to turn to.

    Good luck :)

  4. I know that starting high school can be scary, and it seems like there will be tons of bullies and druggies and such, but in reality, there really aren't that many. High school is awesome because everybody has their own group of friends with similar interests, instead of in elementary and middle school, where there are "the popular" group. And you can choose the classes you want to take, which is great, too. Just be yourself, because you don't want to try and be someone else, work hard, and make good friends. Then high school will be an amazing experience. But college is better. :D

  5. you need to be very careful with the friends you make......

you have to be very serious when it comes to your studies and maintain a good relationship with your teachers....

i wish you best of luck and congratulations!

  6. 1. the most important of all is that you have to study hard, learn all you can because the university is a litter bit harder so don't lose time!!

    2. try to have fun, live it the best you can because when you finally get to the uni.. it won't be the same you won't have your senior class by your side... because the hours, the classes, the time won't matched with them so everybody will be a little separated..

    3. always be sure of who you are, and never let anyone change you...

    4. it's funny but I found a web site that tells you how to confront a bully check it out....  http://www.kickbully.com/page3d1c.html

    5. you say drugs like smoking whatever but alcohol is also a drug. is healthy if you drink it in small amounts but the excessive alcohol is bad. no one can force you to do something you don't want. drugs have side effects and you can really become addicted to them, they are physically, mentally, and  socially harmful.

  7. Same I am going to high school too. You should make some good friends. Don't mix with the wrong people or bad things might happen. You should always study everyday and study before tests and don't slack off. Always bring the right materials to each classroom. Dont start ramdom fight or that will go to your permanent record. Just stay on top of you class in studies and you will be fine. Hope you have a good year!

  8. High school is a great opportunity to meet new friends, grow from new experiences, and most importantly, to learn and get into the habit of studying well. It's also a very important time because it's the start of the preparation for the rest of her life. College is only four years away.

My advice is to come to school with an open, friendly mind. Don't be afraid of getting judged, don't care too much about what other people think about you, but stay focused on what makes you happy, building and strengthening friendships, and keeping good grades. You'll find out that it doesn't matter what other people think of you, because in a few years, you'll likely never see these people again.

A support system is integral during high school. Stay close to your parents, as well.

Be outgoing, because you can't expect people to go up to you begging for your friendship. To really get what you want, you have to initiate it. That is, YOU start the conversations. :)

Don't do things because your friends want you to. Stay true to your values, because it's very easy to be swayed by your friends. Before every decision, carefully consider the consequences before acting. Something that may be fun for a night or two may be your regret for months or even years.

Anyway, most kids tend to stay away from s*x and drugs. Choose your friends carefully. If you get the vibe that they're shallow, will only accept you conditionally, or that you can't be yourself around them and have to pretend to be someone else, than drop them. You won't be happy at all. If you do have friends with.. bad habits... doesn't mean you have to stop being their friend as long as they don't pressure you into doing bad things with them.

A lot of kids find their passions in high school. Join a few clubs and teams that might seem interesting, because thats where many people find their friends. Stick with your interests and you may even become very good at them.

Keep grades one of your top priorities. Avoid procrastinating like the plague, and do things one at a time. Make sure you don't sign up for too many extra-curriculars, or you might burn out. Set a certain amount of time each day to do your homework, and studying in advance is highly recommended. Keep careful notes, and don't be afraid to ask your teachers any questions. Trust me, there is a lot less stress this way.

Participate in class. Teachers love that sort of thing, and some even make it a big part of your grade. Oh, and get a weekly planner. My school gave these out to us and it really helped us get organized. Once again, keeping things stress free.

It's also how you see things. Don't despair over bad things like rejection, a bad grade, work overload, or even betrayal. Look for the learning experience in everything.

Bullies feed off your fear. Don't let them intimidate you. If they threaten you, show to them that you completely acknowledge their threat. That will knock them off guard.

HS is what you make of it. Yes, it's hard at times, but you can either make it h**l, or heaven for yourself.

  9. -there are smokers/gangsters- stay away from them

-be careful of what friend you chose, you will be labeled

-be nice to the teachers around you

-try to keep a steady pattern for school work (you DON'T want to fall behind)

    -and dress clean =]

  10.    Remember who you are this year and how you act plus the friends you make will set you up for the standards you will carry for the next 3-4 years SO please be careful always be true to your beliefs because believe it or not people will like that honor in you and don't get into  the gossip you can listen be never repeat ... Be yourself and most of all be true to yourself. have fun highschool should be fun and your homework always be on top of that.....Ask questions and don't be a tough guy . Be on good terms with all your teachers but don't be a teachers pet. (very important)...have confidence in yourself and people will see that in you.... everyone always wants to be around the guy who is positive and laughing trust me on this.   Of course stay away from the drug scene you shouldn"t have to be told that. I hope you have a great highschool year and enjoy yourself... Good luck !
