  1. Hi there.

    To marshal something is to put it into order, you are putting "alertin" into order. Being "in the offices" is a euphemism for going the toilet.

    PS 2 down is what got me going, never heard of "litotes" before!


  2. The only words I can find that fit are "latrine" and "lattice".

    The answer would be "latrine", as it is an anagram of "alert in".
