have you been to Cheripan? good fillet mignon, wine, and service. there are two: mesa otay and zona rio.  too bad im really far away from TJ right now.

Yes, one of the best are from that stand when going into la plaza. They are beef franks wrapped in bacon. Aside from the regular tomatoes, mustard, and ketchup for toppings they also have onions, caramelized onions, cooked mushrooms, and salsa. At first I didn't know what to think of them but man these tasted great specially after a night of heavy drinking.
