I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and I know hemmorhoids are common during pregnancy. But I don't have bumps or anything. It's just a section of my r****m is VERY VERY swollen, and protrudes quite a bit. It's so painful I can't even sit down. I'm sitting on a special pillow right now to type this, and it still kills.

Even walking hurts.

I've been putting preparation H on 6 times a day, the maximum dosage. I've sat on ice, I take stool softeners.

It's only gotten worse. I'm in severe agony.

I'm honestly afraid its going to rupture.

Witch Hazel isn't shrinking it.

Is there anything a doctor can do for me?

  1. I'm so sorry for you, I know how that is.  You just mentioned about everything I know.  Just don't lift anything heavy and take it easy, hopefully your doctor can help.  Sitz bath?  I'm cringing with empathy.  OH YEA, now I remember, Dermaplast.  You get it at the pharmacy and it numbs it!!!  It's like $5 a can and worth every penny.  It is a spray on.

  2. there is surgery. I am not sure if you can do that being pregnant, but the dr will be able to give you some kind of relief.

  3. I hate to tell you this but it is a hemmeroid.  And it will get worse, you want it to rupture, you'll feel soooo much better.  There is not much else you can do at home.  i am not sure if doc can help anymore but I would call and ask considering how uncomfortable you are.

  4. that sounds awful...I'd be going to a dr about that one. Sounds like you've tried everything, I'd be seeking medical help by this point.

    Good luck!

  5. try tucks medicated pads. you can get them at any pharmacy. they really work wonders. they take the pain away almost instantly, and the swelling will go down after a couple days of using them.

  6. That is hemmorhoids darling, call your dr.

  7. They had these Tucks cleansing pads that I used when I was pregnant and they practically numbed me down.  I loved them.

  8. Been there too its horrible.  Continue what your doing but also try a sitz bath.  Your dr can give the pan to you.  Its a pan that goes over the toliet seat and you put really really cold water in it to rest your bottom in there...helps the shrinkage....hang in there its horrible i know but well worth it after your pregnancy!!

    Congrats and wlecome to motherhood.

  9. Sometimes you may not be able to see the bumps! They may be located inside!

You need to contact a dr! We can't treat you!
