  1. yes, i had those after my first labor 2 years ago and also after my second labor, 2 months ago... the recent one still continues... i find it to be worse when i'm kinda constipated. it is hemorrhoids. you can get suppositories at your local pharmacy, they help a lot.

  2. Ohhh..god! I am having the same problem..mine are really painful I had my baby 3 months ago and boy is my butt sore! I have been doing a sitz bath and then using witch hazel to make it feel a little better.

  3. Many people have this problem, and luckily there are remedies available. You might find wiping with Tucks medicated pads (generics might be called witch hazel pads) easier on your bottom. Hydrocortisone will help reduce the swelling of the hemorrhoids and any itching - it is available in suppository form, as well as a cream and an ointment. Hard bowel movements can make it worse, so when you are having problems with that, try Colace (drug name is docusate, available under several names). It's a stool softener rather than a laxative. It won't make you go more, just easier.

  4. Its very normal. When I had my daughter I had the worst hemorrhoids after I delivered. They eventually went away about 8-10 months and I haven't had a problem since. Just hang in there.

  5. yeh. i was emergency section, so i was given a high dose of co-codamol (codeine) for the pain.  so i never pooed from the day before i went into labour, till 10days post partum.

i swear to god, the pain of pooing for the first time was so much worse than labour - honestly. the codeine had constipated me, i was taking lactulose and senna and i was so miserable. so when i did poo, there was blood there, it did feel scratchy inside, but i was split on the outside so that was bleeding too.

so there may be a little cut there, but because you are going to the toilet, its not getting a chance to heal. my dr prescribed me an ointment that had local anaesthetic in it and it seemed to heal, it could be used for haemroids too, i used it externally but it can ne used internally.
