Question:

TNT Television Race Coverage from Pocono?

Am I the only one that noticed how terrible today's race coverage was?

They did NOT provide information that was critical to keep up on the drivers status.

I also wonder if they should add a new statistic. (Commercials per lap!)

Any other comments?

  1. That was terrible coverage by TNT yesterday.  Below are some summary bullet points of the most pathetic attributes:

-Missed showing at least 2 of the yellow flag pit stops

        -Audio problems though out

-Commercial breaks have no regard for flow of Race

-Overall, commentators come across as slow witted and appear to be without excitement for the race.

  2. Nope... you're not the only one.

And nope... you said just about all there is... at least for me.

    GOOOOOOOOOOOO J GORDON!

  3. I never watch the Pocono race. Only one all year. It's a mileage & pit strategy race.

  4. I was so glad that I did not have to listen to DWs yammering that I thought the coverage was great.

  5. Oh my gosh! There were soooo many commercials, they'd show caution laps but leave for the green flag. they had countless numbers of audio problems and we heard spotters and drivers mention a crash before any of the broadcasters announced it... it was terrible

  6. OHokk

  7. The audio seemed horrible.

  8. I thought there were alot of commericals too!! even during green flag laps and I thought that sucked I expect them to go to a commerical during a cations which there were plenty of today but why did they keep doing it when they were on green? I'm glad to know someone else noticed this too!

  9. I donno i got nascar hot pass amd never watch the live broadcast

  10. Gosh, you are among a number of people who commented that they didn't provide enough information. I had no problems at all keeping up with the pit strategy, and thought they did a great job in reminding us what laps each guy pitted. It was great watching how all the different strategies played out, and there were a ton. I have never seen so much pit strategy all in one race.

There were def. some tech. difficulties, and commercials cutting in during commentating. Plus, we had to listen to that "Black Gold" song waaaaay too much. But, hopefully they will get the bugs worked out on the stuff for next week.

I thought it was a great race! The unbiased attitude of the commentators made all the little difficulties worth it.

  11. Much better than the coverage the first part of the season, but still not as good a job as ESPN does.

  12. the fine quaility (sic) of the broadcast team.......... to new xxxxxxx well new something.

Larry Mc and Kyle Petty were a breath of fresh air but  Walley....Well Walley sorry your needed on pit road.
