TNT to follow Miami Heat, LeBron James on two key road trips this season
Charles Barkley and LeBron James have been involved in a war of words ever since James booked one hour of prime-time TV to announce his decision to join the Miami Heat as a free-agent
this past summer.
First up was Barkley, a popular NBA analyst for TNT, who referred to the TV special, entitled “The Decision,” as a “punk move.”
This was followed by James posting this on his Twitter account: "Don't think for one min that I haven't been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean
everyone!”
"He knows where I'll be," Barkley said in response to the tweet. "I don't run. I'm on TV every week, I'm easy to find."

It turns out James won’t need to find him. They’ll be in the same building.
NBA on TNT announced today that Barkley, along with host Ernie Johnson, and former NBA player Kenny Smith, will follow James and his Miami Heat on two road games this season. The popular
TNT trio normally broadcast from their studio in Atlanta, Georgia, the only exceptions being the NBA All-Star Game and the Conference Finals.
The announcement is indicative of the level of hype surrounding this Miami team, who also added Chris Bosh this summer to a team already including Dwyane Wade.
TNT will be on-site for Miami’s regular-season opener against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in Boston on Tuesday 26 October, as well as Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday
2 December when James makes his much-anticipated return to Cleveland to take on the team he left after seven seasons.
In a show entitled “Inside the NBA,” Johnson, Barkley, and Smith are on-camera before the game, at half-time, and after the game. The three are often joined by Chris Webber, Gary Payton,
Reggie Miller, or Magic Johnson.
TNT NBA Thursday is a weekly double-header program, featuring two match-ups between high-caliber teams. TNT play-by-play announcers include Marv Albert, Steve Kerr, Mike Fratello, and
Kevin Harlan.
