  1. i start wearing abbaya when i was in calss 8th

i wear long black abbaya which covers me whole which ends on my feet  and in head i wear black scarf

  2. i do and i love it! its hard doing p.e the first time though!

  3. Asalamu Alaikum

First off, congrats on wearing the Hijab, and you took a good step towards being a better Muslimah.

I've been wear the little headscarf since i was 10, meaning i just wore the "headscarf" not hijab, cuz i wore small shirts and normal pants, i was still small anyways.

I started wearing the Abayah when I was 12. Thats the robe-looking full dress that goes passed your ankles most of the time.

Then at 13, I decided I wanted to wear the niqaab (face covering). People thought i was crazy, but I enjoyed wearing it, and i never regret putting it on.

Till this day, I still wear the face veil, AND longer hijabs that go way past my chest area...and really loose abayahs, meaning no one can see my figure alhamdulillah. (lol ppl don't know if im fat or skinny or whatever, and honestly I don't care if I look fat anymore. Only people with weak faith think that full hijab makes them ugly).

I hope you stay steadfast on wearing the hijab, and that Insha'Allah you seek to wear the full hijab one day. take care sis. Salam

edit: excuse my horrible spelling =P

  4. When I first wore hijab, I wore it with long sleeved shirts and pants.  Then, I started wearing only skirts and long sleeved shirts.  Then ababya all the time.  Now, I wear niqab also.

It's good to take everything step by step.

  5. I always wear a hijab, the long poliyester one that go all the way down to your to your knees. I  fee; exposed if i dont wear those!

    LOL

  6. First of all id like to say alhamdullilah that you are wearing hijab, u r so lucky one day inshallah i will wear one too.

Second of all somebody should tell all these non muslims that men dont force us to wear hijab but women want to wear it themselves! Its actually the girls who go out wearing short skirts that r being controlled by men cuz thats wut men want to see!

wallah islam is a beautifull religion

  7. whatever the dude above said was totally rascist, be ashamed...well now i reported the dude, his answer is gone. Thank God.

  8. I never wear jeans, astaghfirrullah.  I at least wear a skirt and long top with my veil and yes I definitely wear it all the time.

Why would you wait until marriage?  I do not understand this logic.  Why would a girl be allowed to create fitna until she is married?  We wear hijab for us and for Allah, not our husbands.

  9. I reverted at 19 and am 21 now.  I have been wearing hijab since my wedding night, and been wearing Niqab and Abaya since March 2008 @ 21 years old.  The only time I don't wear hijab is inside my home, when taking a shower, or when sleeping.

  10. hello the purpose of hijab isn't to be fashionable

    What Protects Me

    by Elham Kowatli

    USA

    Her long, thick brown hair

    Falling against her back

    Her tan bronze skin

    Shining in the sunlight

    With baby soft curves

What happens when she steps outside?

She becomes nothing but a shadowy ghost

    Nothing more than a lady

In a hijab is what they thought

But she holds her head up high

As she walks down the streets

She sees men whistling at their girls

What do they think that women are

A piece of meat waiting to be inspected?

She feels so bad for them

But as she walks into her husbands arms

    Her partner

    Her one and only love

    Her husband

    She becomes transformed

    Into her beautiful self

For only his eyes to see

  13. salam sis

yes i've been wearing hijab since i was 13 now i am 19 LOL !! well i am proud too and i wear pants with long sleeve shirts or any modest clothes !

  14. I wear the hijab and also abaya/jilbab.  my daughters wear as you do

  15. Full sleeves shirts with not too tight jeans and full head covering and upper part of body!

    Thanks or sharing yor experience...

I am now proud of you!

May Allah keep us on Sirath-e-Mustaqeem.

  16. I wear the hijab all the time. I've been wearing one since I was like 8 1/2. Some people might say that I was too young to make a decision at that age, but i decided to. I told my mom that I wanted to, and maybe it was one of those "my older sister does something so I wanna do it too" things. lol. But either way I wanted to wear a scarf and have never thought of taking it off since, nor do I regret putting it on. Alhamdulillah. I wear what I'm comfortable in, and is appropriate, which is - like you - long shirts with pants, knee-length dresses, etc..It's kind of hard to find decent stuff for Muslim girls in non-Muslim countries, but this year has been easier since long shirts 'n stuff have been "in style", which works for me! lool.

@ guakachiwtvr and other ignorant and disrespectful answerers: u seem to be living in the past. every single girl i know, muslim or not, wears the hijab or not, has been making her own decision about her own life and body. i don't know if you've noticed, but we're kind of living in the 21st century right now...

  17. I wear the Hijab all the time. I wore it ever since i was 10 and now i'm 20.  It's part of who I am.

I wear it with modest clothing.  The abaya (long dress), long shirt with pants, or any islamic clothing.

    Alhamdallah.

  18. as a muslimah living in america, i wear full hijab, i'm both a born american but a reverted muslim, but since i am in america i have the freedom to wear what i want and i choose to cover myself.

i find it funny how non muslims tend to answer questions not directed to them and when will they understand that we're not FORCED to do or wear anything someone else wants us to. i get much more respect from non muslim men wearing hijab than when i was showing my body to the word. we're all smart and educated women and the stuff you see printed in the media is always a/b either tribal or cultural practices and not islaamic ones. just like in any religion you have people who don't act aaccordinglysget over it. we're happy being who we are, muslimahs. if we choose to cover why does it bother you so much?
