My toilet overflowed this morning. I tried plunging it, and it didnt work. I let it overflow and tried flushing it again, and that didnt work. I even went to the store and bought Liquid plumber and that didnt work. My son has ibs and needs to use the toilet often. This is our only toilet, and we cant afford a plumber right now. 1. Don't know whether this helps but can give it a try. There might be some obstruction at the bend down below the bowl. How about using strong jets of water to push whatever is blocking that area?

Is there an object that is obstructing the flow of water. If it is soluble, it is easier but if the object is not soluble, try using a wire with a hook at the end to push it out. Hope this helps.Good luck.

  2. i dont really know how to fix em T_T but on YouTube theres tons of videos of repairmen actually repairmen or knowledge people who knows how to do it.  Plus it's a video so yeah you can watch as you go.  just type toilet repair or something

  3. It appears to me that there is a material blockage here, by this I mean something like a "toilet smelly block" the sort you hang on the side of the bowl. If you cannot clear this blockage by plunging, and in most cases you can, then you need to look closer, where you will find something is stuck in the "S" bend. Get your rubber gloves on and empty the bowl into a bucket. Dispose into manhole. Throw a half a bucket of water into the bowl and plunge, do not flush. If that does not free it, undo the screws holding the bowl in position, lift it and pull away from the rubber seal at the outlet, yes, it's not nice but necessary, take it outside and empty into manhole, check for a blockage in the bend of the bowl. clear and replace, refix. If none of this works, or you find nothing wrong, then you need to check out the sewer route from the toilet to the main sewer.  If you find it necessary to remove the bowl, don't forget to disconnect the flush pipe as well, from the bowl, not the water cistern, the water will not spill out of it, unless you flush it. So, get cracking.

  4. If you have a wire hanger you can disconnect the twists in it, straighten it out and force it into the toilet trap and see if you can loosen what is apparently stuck in there.  You don't want to stick your hand in there like one of the other answers said.  Wiggle the hanger around and see if that will loosen things up and clear it out so your son can get to the toilet.

  5. Well, You could try and stick your hand down in the bowel to see if there is something down in the trap of the toilet, If you can get a hand snake you could get at Home Depot they are about 6' in lenght and you just feed it into the toilet twisting the handle as you go, this might work to free up the blockage. the other thing is to remove the toilet and reach into the toilet from the bottom, the thing is when you remove the toilet you will need to get a new wax ring otherwise when you reset the toilet it could leak at the base when you flush it. Another thing you could try is take a 5 gallon bucket fill it with water and dump it all at once into the toilet try to aim for the hole where the trap starts, it will act like a power flush with all that water, this may free up what is plugging the drain. Good luck

  6. Unfortunatley you could have tree roots that have entered the pipes somewhere over time; I have had that happen twice. The only way to fix that is by useing an 'electric eel' which good plumbers will have. They will make an entry point where they think the tree roots are and feed the eel down the line to 'cut' the roots out. The roots will grow back again if the tree is not removed.

  7. go to the hardware store and buy a toilet auger. it is a heavy duty drain snake made just for toilets. its very easy to use.
