TOMTOM Wrong language!!?

Question

I have just taken my brand new tomtom one xl out of the box switched it on & it seems to be stuck in spanish. It didint show a menu or give any optchions and i cant find how to set it to English. please help

On the screen use the arrow to go forwards until you see the spanner symbol.Touch on that and you will get the language selection menu and choose english.Hope this helps

instructions to work the menu is on the bottom half of page 10 and the instructions for language change is on page 21.

There is a facility in the device to change it.

My main concern would be that a brand new unit should need setting up when it is first switched on, so this may not be 'brand new' in that sense.  

Where did you get it from?
