ok, my parents are on a business trip in New Hampshire and won't be back for about a month. I'm 16 by the way. I want my tongue pierced and a lower back tattoo. the piercer emailed me saying that if my paretns couldnt be present in the studio, i could pick up a release form and go to a notary or somehting like that. What does that mean??? i'm so confused.

  1. I think u should wait.......... Notary someone just to sign the form.  He will not know if you signed it or your friend.  Really think about this when u get older u might regret it the tattoo. The piercing will close up if you decide to get it and take it out. Think hard on this.

  2. Save the tramp stamp for when you're married, hun.

  3. you would have to go pick up the form, fax it tp them, have them sign it and get it notorized (they will know how to do that) and then fax it back and you take it to the studio.

It sounds like you are tryna get it done while they are gona without them knowing... hmmm...

  4. ok they said that you could go to the notario so your mom or dad can sign that form but is gonna be useless b/c your parents have to be present so they can sign in front of the notary. so i suggest you get a fake I.D i just tun 17 and i got my toungue pierce almost 2months ago

  5. ANY reputible shop wont let anyone get pierced or inked before the age of 18. Reconsider your idea of getting something permeant. I was aloud at 15 to get a tattoo and when i looked back what i liked then isent what i like now at 21. A tattoo is forever unless you or your parents have the money for laser removal. But if you are still intersted. pick up the form. your parents will have to sign it and then you will have to take it to a public notary. There the notary will put a stamp on it saying that its official signature. And your parents may have to be present at the notary, im not sure on that.

  6. If you don't understand then you don't need a tattoo or a piercing. That's why the law says you have to be 18. T_T

  7. In order for a notary to notarize something, your parents would have to be present and signing in front of them.  Notary's have an official stamp, usually each one is different, but you will not be pulling something over on any reputable tattoo artist if you try and forge any documents, they will be able to tell.  There are laws for a reason, and they are not going to make it easy to get parental consent w/o your parent present.  If you do forge documents you would then be held liable for fraud.  Is it really worth it?

  8. Honestly, you shouldn't even be getting either one. I would HOPE that the tattoo artist wouldn't even consider tattooing you because you're under 18.

I don't even think your actual question should get an answer. Just don't do it.

  9. I totally used my sister's ID when I was 17 to get my first tattoo for that reason. Haha sounds like you need to find a friends ID who's 18 and find a new tattoo/ piercing shop!

    Goodluck hun!!
