  1. put orajel on the area that hurts.

    it numbs it.

but 1st take aspirin or something.

then eat soft foods & see a dentist.

good luck & hope i helped:)

  2. I had the same thing on my front tooth. And it hurt bad too! It still aches now and then even a month later.

I was told to take one extra strength tylenol and two motrin. Its basically the same as a prescription painkiller. It helped me some.

For now avoid chewing there, or poking it with your tongue. Try and eat soup or something soft.

You can always swish gently with saltwater to promote healing.

  3. So don't eat anything!  And, try applying liquid Anbesol...it is a temporary numbing agent specifically FOR mouth/tooth pains...you can buy it at your local pharmacy or grocery store.

Also, use a toothpaste for "sensitive" teeth..."Sensodyne" is the best.

Do not eat or drink anything too cold or too hot.  Temperature will have an affect on tooth pain.

Take an Ibuprofen product, like Aleve...it is a pain med AND an ANTI-INFLAMMATORY...and you will definitely have swelling with this.  It is the aggravated tissue...the swollen tissue...which is causing you the most pain.

And then, sleep it off...time does wonders!

If, in the morning, you are still in severe distress, call your dentist...but give it time first.

    Good luck!

  4. Take advil

put pressure on your tooth HARD
