  1. u said might....but just to be safe go 2 a ground floor like a basement or a celler....stay away from all windows and try to tie yourself down to something sturdy something that might be attatched to the ground suck as stirdy piping or something of such sort. also if you can go 2 a near by neighbors home and see if you can stay there until the tornado passes. if not follow my instructions. hopefully the tornado won't hit and you'll be safe.

p.s. bring down a lot of water lots and lots of water and some easy open canned foods jus incase your home is destroyed you have enough food and water so you can survive on your own for a little while. and also tie that down to something sturdy just in case. stay safe, stay low, and try your hardest to keep in a tight fetal positon. also hold something sturdy really tight. be careful, be safe, good luck.

  2. Well, the bathtub thing will not help.  Most bathrooms offer no protection from a tornado.  Often times, tornados rip the roof right off of a house and suck everything out of it above the floor!

Your question came an hour ago.  I cannot imagine that the tornado threat still exists where you are, so I may be too late to answer.

The best answer was to go down in a basement, and if you do not have a basement, IF IT IS NOT TOO LATE... go to a neighbor's house and try to get into their basement shelter.

There are several alternatives to keep in mind if this happens again.  A low spot can be "hopped over" by a tornado, but NOT necessarily so.  Something like an overhead bridge, if you are on the highway, up under the steel girders at the base of the bridge, has been used by people, but is not recommended, because you might be sucked out sideways. Instead, they recommend a culvert under the roadway, if you can find one.

The same principle applies to living in a home, find some sort of hide-away that is strong and will protect you from the suction of the tornado, like the culvert.  If nothing else, a good strong closet in the center of the house is better than nothing, and is probably the safest place if you do not have a basement.  That does not mean a tornado will not lift the house up entirely and throw your house off somewhere!

    Good luck!

  3. Get in a bathtub and lay down, or a closet, or a basement, go to a neighbors house or friends i will pray for you
