  1. .avi formats are LARGE files compared to mpgs and wmvs.

    a 4minute .AVI file is also large.

    a few months ago; you wouldn't have been able to upload such a large file at all. It is only recently that youtube has increased the limit to 1024mb.

    So it is perfectly normal that you're taking 2 hours. Just wait a little longer.

    Also, there is some idiot floating around yahoo answers ("B.Love") who has been copy/pasting the same thing about how youtube's limit is still 100mb. It's not. It has been changed to 1024mb recently. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk at all.

    So hopefully that has answered your question. You have likely nothing to worry about;

    it is SUPPOSED to take that long.

    I am currently uploading a 3 minute .avi file; it's over 600mb and I've been uploading for the last 3 hours.

    Of course it all depends on your internet speed and other variables.

    Long answer short; do not worry. Although, I do feel bad for leaving the computer on during the summer; certainly not good for energy conservation and the environment...

    In the future, if you want to cut down on upload time, perhaps try using windows movie maker to convert your movie into mpg or .wmv format. They are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller.

  2. No, it is most likely your internet speed, what type of internet do you have?

  3. yes, it depends how large of a file. I have high speed internet and for my video that was 109MB it took lik 4 hours!
