Hoffenheim defender Andreas Beck has stated that he is eager to secure his first win of the Bundesliga this season against champions Borussia Dortmund. He expressed his disappointment on the loss against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 last week after
dominating through most of the game.
Hannover defeated Hoffenheim 2-1 in their first Bundesliga fixture of the season at the AWD-Arena. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mohammed-Abdellaoue-c26469 scored the winner for the home side in the 30th minute with a well taken penalty and secured all
three points for his side.
Beck claimed that with the performance his side put in, a win should have been the end result. He stated that Hoffenheim dominated possession for most of the match and scored the equaliser just three minutes after conceding.
However, the captain insisted that the players should take the positives from the defeat and comeback with a strong performance against the defending champions, Dortmund.
“Even with one point, I would not have been satisfied. We have given a game out of hand, that we really need to win. We must take the positives. We feel that we are a team,” Beck was quoted as saying in an interview.
The club manager Holger Stanislawski was also left disappointed as he thought that three points could well have been achieved. He added that the forwards had brilliant scoring chances throughout the two periods but failed to achieve
any success.
The tactician rued missed opportunities and stated that a draw would not have been a fair result either. He added that the players need to improve on their finishing so that the same mistakes are not repeated again in the future.
“We are very disappointed. We've played great scoring chances, but the final ball was not consistent enough. The injuries are bitter, but we will muddle through there and hope the players come back soon. The game in Hanover is
definitely,” Stanislawski added.
TSG Hoffenheim will host last year’s Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Die Borussen downed Hamburg 3-1 last week at the Signal Iduna Park.
