Question:

TTC, Too early to be feeling like this?

I had my last period on 6th August, BD most days from 16-22nd August. Had pains in lower abdomen area last night and again today, headaches, and feeling very light headed today. I have a 28 day cycle and next period is due 3rd September

Bearing in mind i have been pregnant twice before (both ended in m/c). The first time i had absolutely no idea as i was not even trying. I was off work from 15-18th April due to having the 'flu' only to find out on the 18th that i was pregnant although my period wasn't actually due until 21st April. Sorry if this is confusing, my moral is that i was feeling somthing similar the 1st time. 2nd time i didn't get any symptons until around 6wks, i got pregnant again after m/c without having a period in between

All answers greatly appreciated

  1. Take a test, that way you won't be worrying, and you will have a better idea of how to handle the problems that you are having without hurting the baby if there is one.

  2. If AF is not due until 9/3 and you are pregnant right now, there's about a 98% chance that an HPT is going to show negative.

Even with the First Response tests (non-digital, the digital on isn't as sensitive) you would have to wait until 8/31 just to give your self about 50/50 odds that the test would indicate positive.

As for the symptoms you are describing, they can't be the result of pregnancy test.  It's WAY too early.  Assuming you have a typical cycle, you might have CONCEIVED by now, but you likely wouldn't even be pregnant yet (defined as when the baby implants in the uterus) as that should occur about 7 to 9 days before you expect AF (which would be sometime in the next two days).  Until the baby implants in the uterus and seriously begins the production of hcg, there is no "signal" to your body that you are pregnant, and therefore the symptoms you describe can not be the direct result of pregnancy at this time.

  3. I really wouldnt advise that you test until your period is a few days late.  i have had 4 miscarriages they were all round about 5 or 6 weeks along and the last time i got pregnant I had symptoms that I did not have before.  I had never been sick and did not ever have sore b***s, but this pregnancy has worked out ok and I am now 29 weeks along with a healthy baby boy.  It will happen for you just be patient and the best thing that you can do is to wait patiently to see if your period arrives.

Good Luck on getting that BFP and hope all goes well

  4. I have had two miscarriages this year and a week before my period was due i had sore b*****s so i knew i was pregnant,

What ever any one says its true you can have symptoms a week before your period is due my doc laughed at me and said i had a vivid imagination and even a week after my missed period HPT were still showing negative but a blood test picked it up .
