TTC-Dark Nipple question?

i was wondering...i know one of the symptoms of pregnancy is darker nipples, but if im african american and mine are already dark, how would i know?

Even though you may have dark skin u can still tell if your nipple looks darker from usual. darker nipples are also come with sore b***s so you could tell from that if your experiencing pregnancy symptoms!

Sorry, I have never heard of nipples getting darker during pregnancy.  Tender and sore, yes, but not darker.

I never knew that.  I have kind of dark nipples to begin with so I never noticed.  I guess I am kind of in the same boat as you.

I'm AA as well and I didn't notice a change of pigment in my nipples and areolae when I got pregnant. Maybe that was one of those tidbits that only pertain to Caucasians?

I am a fair skinned caucasian and when I was pregnant (4x) my nipples went from light brown to purple! No joke they were purple..

I imagine that would be what would happen to you. So instead of just dark they would look purple. I always knew I was pregnant this way of course I also and tingling in my breast also. I hope my answer helped

There are other things to look for. Nausea, a missed period or spotting pink or brown are some of the most noticeable signs of pregnancy. Best wishes, G
