  1. it is so stupid all the people here depend on the ttc like alomost 3/4 of toronto even the people with cars. they leave their cars at a ttc parking and take the ttc to their work. im gona walk to school but i have nno clue how my mom is going to work. plus she is in her feild plaement. dumb ttc they shouldn't be even alowd to strike how could the goverment let them do this? man plus they get like $30 an hour for sitting on their butts and driving

  2. They've settled...no strike.....

I would have driven if I had to....

  3. Carpool. My coworkers setting up different "pickup spots" to help drive people to work. But hey.. hopefully the TTC will come up with a settlement by Sunday. I mean if the TTC stops running, we're all screwed. Last time it happened, everyone freaked out. haha

  4. I don't work downtown, I work for an organization that is implemented in the public schools in after school programs, at various locations throughout North York.

A couple of my sites are RELATIVELY close to home...........so I'll give myself about an hour/hour and half to walk it.

The others are way out in Etobicoke, or close to Humber College............... unfortunate for my bank account, but those days I would have to stay home :(. I'm a student, so there's no way I will be able to afford taxi's, and my schedule doesn't work out with any friends. It doesn't seem as though the company has made any initiatives to organize a carpool.

If there is a strike, I don't think it'll last longer than a day (like the last one). It'll send the city is wayy too much mess.

  5. we get to write our exams late if the TTC isn't running so theres no way im wasting money on a taxi as a student ... ill just write my exams later.

it is absolutely ridiculous that they are striking. the TTC should be defined as an ESSENTIAL SERVICE. they should not be allowed to strike because too many people depend on it to get to work and contribute to society.

  6. well if they go on strike i will have to walk another like 50 everyday to use go transit

  7. I am carpooling to work but I work way out in Scarborough by the 401. Luckily I have a friend willing to pick me up otherwise I have no idea. Getting downtown wouldn't be too hard if you lived by a go station.

Just take the go train to union and walk or take a cab from there.

Or ride your bike!  At least the weather will be super nice if there is a strike.

  8. I'm not.

If there's a strike or a slowdown then I'm working from home.

If it's resolved on Sunday then I'm heading into the office.

  9. TAXI

  10. subway
