  1. Hello,

Congraulations, you're about to embark on a journey that will take approximately 8 months of your life, and then 29 years to retirement!

The phone interview is comprsed of many questions which are customer service oriented.  You want to tell the inverviewer what they want to hear, without making it look like you're telling them what they want to hear.  I know, easier said than done.

If after your phone interview, the TTC still feels you're worthy, you'll be invited to an information session.  This will take about 3 hours of your time, and it's a presentation about the positive and negative aspects of the job.  You'll get a break in the middle, and about 50 people won't come back... *lol*  Bear with the process, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.  This is a great job, and it's secure!

You'll have a small test after the info. session, and you'll be judged on your replies to the test as to getting an in person interview or not.  If you get an interview, you will be required to do a job shadow assignment, having to ride 10 different routes across the city, including the Yonge St. Night Bus, and the Queen St. Night Car on a Friday or Saturday night.  You will talk to operators, and get their opinions on the job, and see for yourself the antics that we sometimes have to deal with.  Note that this assignment is done on your own time, and you don't get paid for it.

Best of luck to you!  If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at any time.

    Allan
