  1. Smoking isn't causing the problem for you not getting pregnant. My two boys father smoked and they got me pregnant fast.

  2. I agree that you should both stop completely. His smoking could be causing a depletion of sperm. It's probably not the primary reason, but it's certainly not helping. And additionally, if he's smoking around you when you're pregnant, the smoke will get to the baby via the placenta. So you'll be at risk of premature and low-weight birth. Better to stop now (and stop him now) so that you've dealt with the withdrawal symptoms before you get pregnant (and so you've dealt with HIS withdrawal symptoms before you need his full attention!!!) Good luck :)

  3. Not likely that his smoking is hurting, but it isn't helping either. Also you say you smoke every now and again. Quit, quit quit. You will be pregnant before you find out, so why expose baby to smoke? Hopefully you wouldn't give a newborn a cigarette so why would you give a fetus the cigarette.

Sorry for the rant but it's my pet peeve.

Have him start taking a men's multivitamin daily. Also, 5 months isn't that long TTC, even for a second child.

    Good luck and baby dust!
