running in my house. To avoid using SPLITTERS I got this new 4way booster. The signall is reasonably good, but I seem to have little waves or shimmers running up the picture on some of the channels. What might be causing this to happen. I did not have them on my old booster. I am using a ROOFYOP ariel and ANALOGUE tv.with the UK progms, BBC1 BBC2 ITV CH4 etc. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

  1. you might be over boosting the signal you can get rid of this by getting a signal attenuator, alternatively it might be a duff booster, you could try moving the booster away from the tv

  2. does your booster have a gain control or is it fixed gain? the problem is if the gain is set too high you will have that wave patern. there are several solutions the problem is it will be trial and error. one is to fit a attenuator before the booster, another is to get a booster that has gain adjustment, another is to keep the existing setup but use digital freeview receivers before the tv, since analogue is going to stop in a couple of years and the digital image from the freeview receivers wouldnt be affected.
